Follow a Regular Dental Routine

Life can get busy, and sometimes the simple stuff falls to the wayside.  No matter what’s on your schedule, we hope you remember to set up a regular dental routine for your child.  Here’s what we recommend:

  • Brush twice a day.  Getting in at least two brushes helps reduce your child’s risk of cavities.  Try once in the morning and right before bed, the same times your child is getting dressed, to make this easy to remember.
  • Floss once a day.  Flossing gets in between teeth where the brush can’t pick.  The easiest time to floss is easier in the morning or night while brushing.
  • Limit sugary drinks.  Kids should drink no more than 4 to 6 oz. of juice a day.  You can make this rule easy by only allowing your child one juice at a specific time, such as during a particular meal.
